First of all, a fascinating fact about Florida is that it is called the sunshine state because it gets a lot of sun and it rarely rains. Some of the state symbols are the orange, the state fruit, the state tree the Salban palm. Florida became a state on March 3, 1845. A popular drink, Gatorade, was invented by a professor at the University of Florida to help the football team. One more interesting fact about Florida is that the Everglades, is the only place on earth where alligators and crocodiles live side by side.
Second, since the temperatures in the summer get up to 90˚, you should bring light clothes and some bathing suits, you will be going swimming. In the spring, it gets up to 80˚ so you should bring a little bit heavier clothes. In the fall, it gets up to 83˚ so you should bring long pants but short sleeves. In the winter, it gets up to 60˚. The highest temperature on record was 109˚F.
Lastly, some of the things to do in Florida are to go swimming or just relax. You can see the underwater reefs and see some of the rare fish that they have there. Go to Orlando, Florida and visit all of the Disney characters in Disney World. Orlando, Florida has much more things to do then just Disney World. It also has a lot of famous people like Mandy Moore and Emmitt Smith. Mandy Moore is famous for her singing and acting. Her most famous hit was “Candy”. Emmitt Smith is famous for being in the NFL. He was elected in the Football Hall of Fame in 2002.
